Our visions for a new world have a realistic and practical basis and not just dreams flying in the air. In fact, our situation now is the one that is illogical, unreasonable, and have no basis in actual reality. Look at the stark facts: United Nations data would show that the world now produces enough grain to feed the world with 3,600 calories per day which is more than enough for an active working life and yet what do we see....people dying of hunger. Just remove only one percent of global military spending and you can eradicate poverty and disease the world over. We have high technology so much so that we can actually produce durable goods that last for more than a lifetime that we dont have to buy and buy and produce more and more and throw and throw and in the end destroy all nature which is the ultimate source of all our goods. In fact, ecological destruction is not the order of the day but ecological harmony is. We can actually produce cars, watches, shoes, clothes that can last for a lifetime yet we choose to make disposable goods that we can use only once so that we will continue to buy and buy from the corporations. We are actually living in a world of irrationality when our visions for the new world are actually the rational ones that have a real basis in reality!
