Our planet earth is just a small planet in the solar system. We are seven light minutes and 29 light seconds seconds away from the sun. This means that if the sun were to explode right now, it would take 7 minutes and 29 seconds before we know it. Because it takes that long for the speed of light to get here. The next nearest star is alpha centauri which is four light years away. And there are about one hundred billion stars in the Milky way galaxy where we belong. In the whole universe there are a million galaxies. This is just about how small we really are in the whole wide universe. Imagine an exploding firecracker. Can you conceive that one particle from this explosion suddenly developing consciousness and begin to unravel the mystery of its fiery origin? Its impossible but its the story of our humanity. Now we can make super giant radio telescopes to get a glimpse of the big bang from where we call came. Amazing that if the earth is 30 days, the homo sapiens sapiens came only a minute ago. Such powerful and beautiful and intelligent creature---such dangerous being.For in the span of that minute we were able to discover our fiery origins and at the same time we were able to create nuclear bombs enough to destroy ten planets the size of the earth. Is humanity boon or bane? Is humanity gift or curse? The answer lies in our hands...
