There is no peace of mind in this day and age. Life is getting stressful. As soon as you get home, the next thing you do is throw you jacket on a chair, say hello to your family and retire in front of the laptop making an excuse of bringing extra work home. And then you sit back and ask yourself, is there an end to all of this??

Will you be slogging all your life, trying to make ends meet? Taking care of your family and providing food and shelter, with no time for self?

Did you realize that you actually did not sign up for all of this mess that you are surrounded with. You wished you were cruising on a yacht with a bunch of old friends and viewing the sunset, sipping chilled beer and falling asleep naturally.

Could it not be that that man is always looking for a perfect picture? Unhappy with the past and not ready for the future while the present becomes a passing phase, just another year added to your age with no gains.

Whoever said no pains, no gains was right!! But the question is where do you start from? Do you quit your job, move your house and maybe get a divorce or is there something else that can change your life drastically.

What if I said there was?? What if you stopped finding a fault with the surroundings, the people, the job that’s making everything stale for you and make some changes to your way of thinking. Maybe it will work.

Its easy to take charge of life and make a positive change if you promise me that you are willing to make two most important changes to your lifestyle—being true to yourself and start paying attention to your surrounding.

It’s called passionate living. When you make an effort to see what’s around you and how you can help to change it in a positive way, you are already on the path to success.

Passionate living is about creating a chance by changing the routine.

Where there is change, there is a chance....for new possibilities, new experiences and new wisdom.

Why is chance so important? For example, while you are working towards your goals of being rich, you want people to notice you, acknowledge your ability. By showcasing your work to the right people, you create a chance for yourself. Chance is also about being at the right place at the right time and grabbing the opportunity.

How can you create a chance in the normal course of your daily life is the question. It all comes down to passionate living. It all goes back to being true to yourself and paying attention to your environment. One technique I use is to think how I can be of help to this person rather than how I can use this person to my advantage. It works much to my advantage. When you decide to be helpful, help pours in from all directions. It’s the principle of life. What you give out, is what you get.

Helping people is the easiest way of creating a chance in your life. When you realize you have the power to give, you feel one with the divine power. There is something so spiritual about it, it’s hard to explain.

I am not talking about joining an NGO as volunteer or donating clothes to the needy. It can be a habit just in the normal setting. Asking someone, if they are fine or if they need something is one way. Try getting a cup of coffee for your colleague who looks overworked. Wont give a blow to your ego, would it?

We are so self centered and egoistic, something just don’t occur to us in our hard headed brains, it’s a pity.

Come down to mother earth and the world is a beautiful place and ready to take you places.

Hi Shiningstar,

You are sooo right! Some people get up stressed-out, go to bed stressed-out, and barely have any time to think about anything beyond how to pay the next bill.

My theory on life right now is that our elders have something to teach us. Life was not always as it is today. There's still happiness out there; we just need a copy of the old maps to find where the happiness is hidden.

Have a beautiful Sunday! Catherine

Hi catherine, thanks for a reply. I have to admit, I have been wanting to get a feedback from you all out there. And you are the first one. Sometimes, problems empower us rather than bog us down.. Happiness cant elude you when you take a deep breathe and say, "I'm alive". I think thats what I tell myself, one day at a time...nothing more, nothing less.
