Hi 024U -- Happy Tuesday!
I believe that you are probably right about our current energy crisis backers not listing everything on the evening news for our consideration. It smells like there's something up... I just haven't figured out exactly what it is yet.
Here in America we're basically being told to dump perfectly good food on a daily basis. I think that the practice is a crime and it upsets me. Not many years back, our food manufacturers went to dating products with the date that you must throw the food out... Which is all fine and dandy, except that the dates are not always accurate for when the food will lose nutritional value or become spoiled.
Also, some of our recurring biggest news stories are about people getting sick from samonella poisoning... Like this is something scary, current, and new. But, everybody used to just know that you must cook eggs before eating them, or that eggs would make you sick if you left them laying in the sun.
Food wasn't a national health crisis every time somebody got sick from not cooking their food right. But, it is now. It's big news. Something just doesn't seem right to me about what the news is saying right now about food. The news has changed in tone recently.
With so many on our planet needing more food than what they have, it is a shame that we all can't just get together and share.
Thank you for telling us about the situation with banned seed saving in Iraq. I am certainly going to go do a little global research on this issue. How many other countries can't save their own seeds now?
