Question:

Thanks for the greeting. I am not doing well. I am suffering the worst depression I have ever had. The last one lasted 6 months and this one is now into about its third month.

My son is doing well, but unfortunately, his uncle, my brother, committed suicide in March. I think he was developing schizophrenia. Which has made me worry how far these high's and lows that I get are going to get worse as I get older.

All in all,

Well at least I am stubborn. Always have been. That is why I am still here, and despite everything. Why I can still smile, (just a little) and why I still have hope.

On another note. This schizophrenia, bipolar, whatever is weird, almost every single prediction I made is now playing out.(some haven’t yet, which I worry about more) Not the first time in my life this has happened, nor do I expect it to be the last. It is a gift I suppose, unfortunately painful for me the afflicted. I guess I am calling out for help. I am scared.

Response:

I'm so sorry to hear about your brother my friend :(

From what you said about predictions...please know that thoughts are powerful forces that attract that which we focus on consistently. They are energy frequencies that shape reality.

Try to focus on what you have...

not on what you don't have.

What you want in life...

rather on what you don't have.

Solutions rather than problems.

And beauty and light rather than darkness and despair.

Take daily steps that guide you toward your goals and life’s purpose.

Action in the right direction gives the mind a sense of control…and reason for existence.

Other considerations:

Healthy Diet

The mind needs certain nutrients to function effectively. The following e-book provides a healthy and compassionate diet for optimal brain and body health:

Meditation

Meditation helps build the muscles of the mind that calm and filter thoughts. Implementation of this beneficial practice will help the mind focus and develop healthy thought patterns.

Appreciation

Practice daily appreciation. Ask yourself periodically throughout your day what you appreciate in life and marinate your mind in that magic for a few minutes.

Add Color And Vibrancy To Your World

We all create our own reality…we might as well paint the canvas of our world with bright vivid colors.

Sunshine

Get approximately 5-15 minutes of sunshine a day. Sunshine is essential to optimal health and happiness.

Exercise

Regular exercise creates healthy and happy chemicals within the brain. Circulation is another important element of exercise it enhances the circulatory process which bring nutrients into the cells and excretes the toxins.

Avoid Toxins

Toxins interfere with our brains ability to function correctly so limit as much exposure to these harmful substances as you can.

  • Do not use pesticides
  • Avoid highly processed foods with chemical names that you can’t pronounce
  • Do not smoke
  • Use natural beauty products (all lotions etc. that we place on the body are absorbed into your bloodstream through the pores of the skin. Most lotions etc. have many chemicals that impede healthy brain chemistry.

Here is a helpful link for limiting toxins:

Healthy Relationship Practices

Relationships are vital to our wellbeing especially the one we have with our self.

Nourish all relationships with love.

Be kind rather than having to be right.

Look for the good in all your relationships…this will help bring out the best in them and yourself.

Play

Take yourself on a daily date. Play with your child (what a gift for both of you). Give yourself the gift of fun, adventurous activities. Bike ride, read a book, watch a movie, swim, hike, visit the park…stargaze. The best things in life are free.

Nature

Immerse yourself in the magic of nature. Notice the beauty that flows from its essence.

Sleep And Rest
Adequate sleep is vital for healthy thought patterns.

Neogenesis

Read Neogenesis by my father James A. Ferrel M.D. This innovative wellness book is valuable resource for our species and free to download for all community members.

All of the above will help bathe the mind in the magic of loving energies. The more these practices are implemented the healthier brain patterns are developed, the easier it is to access healthy energies and the happier you will be.
