I watched the stand up for cancer episode tonight and heard the March of Dimes is getting money for more research and what i know about them is they perform animal tests on primates as well as rats, mice , guinea pigs,cats, dogs and other animals. I guess my question is why give to a program who inflicts pain on innocent animals and gives researchers more power to test on more animals? Im hoping this March of dimes earmarks the donations for non-animal programs only NO ANIMAL EXPERIMENTS, maybe stem cell research but i believe we need not help the march of dimes by giving them a stepping stone to more animals being tortured and killed for cancer, there is other ways of testing!!! Dont you agree? Cancer is such a touchy subject with so many people. I am 100% against animal testing... and have two friends with this disease. I would give the world to either of these friends to make them better. It is easy to see how people do donate money for any kind of testing that might make those important to them live.

This is a conflict for me. I do not believe in animal testing !! However in order to find cures for such dieses as cancer testing has to be done. Question is how do you achieve it and do it in a mannor not so cruel ?? I know animal testing is done for beauty products and silly stuff and thats pure bs. It does not help the human race. I am double minded when it comes to more serious hard hitting stuff. I have pets that i love like a child and have asked my self what if the testing was done on them. We all know some of the treatments for these horrendouse dieses are pure torture. I cant imagine putting my animal thru that , however it may sound crazy but if you feel as i do i personally would  submit to clinical trials. Its my personal decision and i am not hurting anyone else. I will take the blunt of what i have chosen to do. I also believe it does not make any sense to test on animals for all species are so different and thier dna make up . What may work on animals will not work for us !!!!! I believe the only way to find real answers is to test on humans themselves if they are willing. I am also learning as i am on this sight about natrual cures !!!! Its a wonderful thing for god does tell us everything we need will come from the earth natrually.

well alot of people would say why not test if it finds a cure?The problem is there is no cure for breast cancer through testing on animals. They have different cells in there body and its inflicting to do it for nothing really. I know humans think finding a cure is good but why not cell research? computers too!! Everyone is paying tax dollars right now that funds the march of dimes and we could be funding something more meaningful but we are inflicting pain on those who have no voice and its stupid really!! No matter what inflicting on a breathing living animal is wrong if they cant talk. thanks for your input though.

Blah - I hate when I find out yet another organization or company supports animal testing and I didn't know about it. Sometimes it just doesn't even occur to me that this group or that group would support cruelty to animals, then I feel like a terrible vegan once I find out.
