Water is essential to our survival; drinking enough fresh water is essential for our good health. Water is necessary to convey essential minerals to our muscles and nerves, it cleanses the body of toxins thereby protecting the health of our liver and kidneys, it is important for the lubrication of joints and the maintenance of healthy skin. Water also helps with weight loss by suppressing the appetite and reduces the amount of fat stored when enough is drunk. If we don’t drink enough water, our kidneys become overworked and force the liver to take on extra functions. This means that the liver is unable to effectively do its work of converting stored fat to energy with the result that we may gain weight and be unable to lose it. Also, without the required energy being released from stored fat, people can become fatigued. Try and drink a half to a full gallon of water every day. Your body will thank you.
