I am mostly vegetarian. (I live with my boyfriend and his mother, and I don't want to be disrespectful when she makes dinner- or waste the food that has already been prepared, so I eat meals with meat in them when I can't just avoid it like in say...a ham dinner...). I want to make it to full vegetarian, and make most of my meals vegan. (though I am not ready to give up spinich, artechoke and cheese dip just yet.. I know I will have a fall back if i try to quit that TODAY).
This started because of the horrible Blood Pressure history in my family (and mine was showing that I had it, too... at age 20 was 145/90!!) and then evolved because of my involvment with the Humane Society.
(it has helped my blood pressure a TON! Working with exercise and diet, my blood pressure is now between 113/45 and 100/30!!)
I just want to be careful about making sure I get enough protein.
What are favorite recipies of those of you in this group?
I just got a subscription to Vegetarian Times, but I am curious about what YOU all eat.
