Mental Nourishment
It is extremely important to nourish the mind with healthy thoughts, and incorporate plenty of fun, humor and relaxation into
each day. Studies with lab rats demonstrate how a fun, exciting environment in which they have some control increases
neural pathway growth in the brain. This growth elevates immune function and cognitive skills.
Healthy Mental Patterns
An individual may not have control over every situation they encounter, however, all who are reading this, have control over
their response to every situation they encounter. In order to empower responses, individuals must become proactive by taking responsibility
and action for guiding their thought patterns.
Focus On Empowering Thoughts.
We can train the mind to focus on healthy thoughts by looking for the good in all of life‘s situations. The mind loves to search
for things. When it looks for things that correspond with healthy thoughts, it creates healthy emotions and positive energy
frequencies. Condition the mind to look for solutions when challenges appear, and possibilities, love and beauty when they
seem distant.
Meditation
Implement a daily meditation even if it is only for a couple of minutes a day. Your meditation might be a mini mental vacation s
uch as visualizing of a beach. Research has proven that training the mind with meditation builds the neural pathways of the
brain enabling it to become more able to activate its blissful regions. With daily meditation you will experience a greater sense
of well being, be more relaxed, and better able to respond effectively in stressful situations.

Mindfulness
Many people spend much of their lives dwelling on future worries because of past frustrations. By being aware of your
present moments and embracing them, mental patterns become healthier creating nourishing mental chemicals and an
ideal environment for increased effectiveness and well-being.
Sunlight
Get a small amount of sunlight without sunscreens each day. We are not talking about getting a tan that damages the
skin, however, a small amount for health benefits. Sunlight is effective in activating vitamin D as well as elements that
combat depression. Some sunscreens contain cancer-causing agents. Utilize shade and clothing to avoid over exposure.
Deep Breathing
Deep breathing has meditative qualities while it stimulates the immune system. Spend at least a minute a day deep breathing.
You might want to start your meditation with deep breathing.
Rest
Get plenty of rest each day.
